    One Student's Reflection......

Medical school can be one of the most difficult periods of one's life. Hours are spent studying and sacrificing some of the most precious events of one's life. The Office of Academic Advising has been a consistent stone of strength. Faculty and staff are present to teach learning techniques, provide career choice advice and to lend an ear. In my second year of medical school I faced academic difficulties for the first time. Dr. Chandran, and so many others, provided the resources to improve my studying techniques, time management capabilities and to deal with the emotional consequences that followed such a change. The kind words of encouragement and support, made this period so much more manageable. The lessons learned from this period are resources that will forever be useful. (Class of 2006)
