This 3,000 sqft laboratory is comprised of an approximately 2,500 sqft open laboratory space and a 500 sqft office area. Led by Dr. Jiang Chen, MD, Vice-chair of Research, this laboratory is to be equipped with state-of-the-art molecular biology, cell biology, and imaging instrumentation. Basic science research topics include skin morphogenesis, hair follicle biology, dermal connective tissue biology, wound healing, and skin cancers. Mechanisms and biomarkers for skin disorders are also investigated at the gene, transcription, and protein levels.
