  • Dr. Li was Professor of Medicine and Director of a National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) sponsored Digestive Diseases Research Core Center at Washington University prior to moving to Stony Brook. Her research interests center on the role of the gut microbiome on digestive diseases, and her clinical interest focuses on inflammatory bowel diseases and colon cancer. Dr. Li's editorial responsibilities include Gastroenterology and AJP - Gastrointestinal and Liver Physiology Ad hoc reviewer for Journal of Biological Chemistry, Journal of Cell Biology and Infection and Immunity.
