Over the past decade, our superb, university-based medical center has grown significantly and has been recognized as a pillar of clinical and academic excellence on Long Island.  At Stony Brook University Medical Center, residents are provided a unique and outstanding experience that allows them to build the skills necessary to become proficient in both internal medicine and pediatrics.  In the Department of Medicine, residents will encounter a closed-faculty system on the inpatient service; enjoy an exceptional ambulatory primary care environment with a newly developed electronic medical record; appreciate the value of the state-of-the-art cardiac and oncologic technologies in our advanced heart and ambulatory oncology centers; be afforded the privilege of working in the sole bone-marrow transplant unit in Suffolk County, and much, much more.
