Director, General Neurology Inpatient Service. This is a full-time faculty position (Assistant or Associate Professor of Neurology) on the clinical track, responsible for the overall performance of the general neurology inpatient service. Primary responsibility is to serve as the attending physician for general neurology inpatients as well as for some inpatient consults during the Mon-Fri workweek. Responsibility for night or weekend coverage will be limited, as this is shared with the entire group of faculty attendings. The Director will play a key role in advancing patient quality initiatives, teaching neurology residents and medical students, and representing the department in discussions with other health care providers within the institution. This position would be well-suited to carrying out outcomes or care quality research, especially in conjunction with supervising resident research projects.
