INTRODUCTION
The Certifying Examination in General Pediatrics is given once a year in the fall at Prometric, Inc. testing centers located throughout the US, Canada, and abroad. The computer-based examination will consist of 4 sections with optional scheduled breaks between each section. The examination is 7 hours of actual testing time (a ~9-hour day).
GENERAL PEDIATRICS REGISTRATION AND EXAM DATES
Each candidate will take his or her exam on 1 of the 3 days. The exam is very expensive - $2,265 (plus an additional $345 if you register late)!

RESIDENT BOARD REVIEW
- Takes place weekly from November through May from 5pm - 7pm.
- Takes place virtually via Zoom or Teams
- Rules for virtual attendance:
- Camera must be on for the entirety of board review
- Should not be driving while tuning into board review – need to access Google form to complete quiz and must be able to 100% concentrate on both quiz and discussion
- Must actively participate in quiz review and discussion
- Each resident must use a separate device in order to complete the quiz
- We understand space is an issue – inpatient residents are encouraged to use consult rooms, call rooms, lounge under Panera, HSC classrooms, etc. for logging in (multiple residents could log into the discussion portion together socially distanced)

- If there are two third or fourth year ward seniors and the night senior is a second year, both may attend, taking turns to go back to the floor for sign-out starting at 6pm
- If the night senior is a third year, sign-out will start at 7pm

- We will email you a worksheet based on the content areas. This worksheet must be completed prior to the week's session.

- 5:00pm - 5:30pm: 20-25 questions (done individually).
- 5:30pm - 7:00pm: Quiz Review, worksheet/content review and test-taking strategies.
