Yuri Jadotte, MD, PhD, MPH

Yuri T. Jadotte, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H. is an Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director for the Public Health Preventive Medicine Residency within the Department of Family, Population and Preventive Medicine (FPPM), in the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. Dually trained as a physician and social scientist, Dr. Jadotte conducts research addressing health equity for disadvantaged populations, with a focus on interprofessional collaboration, cancer prevention and control, and systematic review and meta-analysis, a distinction that earned him membership in several national and international societies, such as the highly selective Society for Research Synthesis Methodology, the New York Academy of Medicine, and the National Academies of Practice. Board certified in Public Health Preventive Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine, he also serves as associate professor and assistant director of the Northeast Institute for Evidence Synthesis and Translation at Rutgers University.

Dr. Jadotte has been engaged in several funded projects, including: principal investigator for a completed R03 methods research study, funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, on developing novel meta-analytic methods to measure the impact of having multiple chronic conditions on health outcomes; co-investigator for a 5-year Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) PM residency training grant (2018-2023); and co-PI and co-project director for a 4-year HRSA PM residency training grant awarded to the residency program in Public Health Preventive Medicine at Stony Brook (2023-2027). He currently serves as the editor-in-chief of the journal AJPM Focus, the official fully open access journal of the American College of Preventive Medicine and the Association for Prevention Teaching and Research, and an ex officio member of the governing board of the American Journal of Preventive Medicine. He practices clinical preventive medicine in the Stony Brook University Hospital Employee Health and Wellness Service, runs the Population Health Rounds for the Public Health Preventive Medicine residency program, directs the Stony Brook Tele-Preventive Medicine Service, serves as Deputy Head for the division of preventive medicine and population health in the FPPM department, and heads the Master of Public Health (MPH) Generalist Concentration in the Stony Brook Program in Public Health. His long-term professional goal is to continue working in academic Preventive Medicine and advance population health through a myriad of approaches, including research, teaching, clinical practice and policymaking.
