Overview

Through the generous gifts of faculty, staff, alumni and friends, the Department of Microbiology and Immunology is able to provide scholarships and awards to graduate students in recognition of their scientific achievements and contributions to the graduate program, support undergraduate students who wish to pursue independent research during the summer months, recruit new faculty members, and invite outstanding scientists to speak in the departmental seminar series and symposia.

Gifts of cash may be made by check or credit card. Donors who wish to use a check should make it out to the Department of Microbiology and Immunology/SBF and indicate the fund to which they would like the gift applied. To make a gift with a credit card, use the Stony Brook Foundation secure online giving page and search for "Irving Abrahams Award", "Teresa Haire Memorial Award", "Microbiology Department" or "Molecular Genetics & Microbiology Award".

Information on gifts of securities and planned giving may be found at the Stony Brook Foundation.
