My current research focus is "Effects of microglia ablation on neurogenesis". "I am from Michigan where I got my Bachelors in Human Biology from Michigan State University. My research focuses on neurogenesis (the formation and maturation of new neurons) in the subventricular zone and how microglia influence this process. I use an inhibitor that specifically ablates microglia to study how these cells regulate neural stem cells and their progenitors. I also have interests in Multiple Sclerosis, science policy, and ethics. My interests and hobbies outside of science include video games and traveling."
