Elizabeth Diago Navarro, PhD
Research Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine

Dr. Diago Navarro is interested host pathogenesis research and analysis of capsular polysaccharides. She is focused in the development of monoclonal antibodies against Klebsiella pneumoniae strains resistant to antibiotics and hypervirulent strains. These antibodies will be used in novel therapeutics approaches and for diagnosis of these bacterial infection After transitioning to Stony Brook University, she is also carrying out epidemiological studies of multidrug resistant and sensitive strains and try to decipher inherent characteristics for these deferences.
