Dr. Jie Yang got her Ph.D. in statistics and post-doc training from University of Florida. Before coming to Stony Brook University, she was a faculty member in the Department of Biostatistics at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She has collaborated with clinicians and basic scientists from different areas for clinical trial designs and statistical data analysis. She has (co)authored about 30 peer-reviewed papers in statistical and medical journals. She is interested in the development and application of statistical models to address public health and biomedical research questions. Dr. Yang directs the Biostatistical Consulting Core, providing statistical support in study design and data analysis to all School of Medicine and Health Science Center Faculty, residents, fellows and students. She will also teach biostatistics courses in the Program of Public Health and the Clinical Research Training Program.
